Walgreens: Updates

I have updated the Jane post and the February EasySaver deals with several coupon ideas.

You might also note that HiP cosmetics are BOGO this week, and the February ES catalog has a $2 coupon for HiP lip products. Combine that with a manufacturer's coupon or two, and you could be looking at overage.

If your store doesn't have the catalog out on Friday or Saturday and you need it, you might ask them about it, since the catalog period begins Friday.

My Walgreens' cash register will not recognize the coupon I printed out for the Jane products even when the code is typed in. Has anyone else had this problem? The manager told me I must have picked up the wrong items, but I am sure I did not! HELP!

Did the coupon look "normal"? I don't know what internet browser you're using, but you might try printing the coupon from Mozilla Firefox. It tends to work better when printing coupons and such.

My cashier said that I would be committing coupon fraud if I used 2 coupons on the transaction :( :( It scanned fine but he read the fine print on the coupon and wouldn't let me do it.

CC: You might try a different Walgreens (if you have more than one close to you) or just a different cashier (go at a different time of day). The cashier may not like it, but it's not coupon fraud. The manufacturer (who issued the coupon) pays Walgreens, so they'll get their money, even if it's not from *you*. :-) The BOGO is a Walgreens deal, the coupons are a manufacturer deal. Does that make sense?

thanks for encouraging me to try again. I dragged the kids out this evening to another Walgreens and all the HIP coupons went through just fine. I got $2, which I put towards one of the FAR items. :)

Thanks so much guys. The coupon did print in black, and it was quite hard to read. I am very frustrated with my experiences at Walgreens, and hopefully it is just the one closest to my house. I will give the others a chance before I right Walgreens off for good. (This was my 4th bad experience.)

Don't give up yet! :-) If you have another Walgreens nearby, try it--your success can vary incredibly from one store to another. Or try a different time of the day/week, when there are other employees on shift. Let us know how it goes for you!
