Shortbread is simple, buttery goodness at its best. Try serving it with tea or fruit for a delightful treat.
Shortbread
1 1/2 C. flour
1/3 C. sugar
3/4 C. butter
Blend ingredients well. Dough will be stiff. Press into a 9 x 9 inch glass dish or form into log on cookie sheet. Bake in oven preheated to 350 until edges are pale golden brown. Cut while warm.

I bet this is delicious!
Mmm. I love shortbread but I have never made it. I'm going to have to give it a try!
Looks great - I will definitely try it.
Jennifer
try using powdered sugar for a finer texture...and sprinkle sugar on top for a little crunch.
I make this around Christmas each year...I add Nutella to the top for a nice chocolatey finish! Mmmm...delicious!
I just noticed your Make it Yourself posts on your blog. Is it possible you might do linking (is that the right term) for this? I have been doing a "Make It Yourself" also, but not as long as you have.
Thanks for all of the great recipes! I especially love the canning beans because I have wanting to do that.
Extraordinary Ordinary Life,
Thank you for the suggestion... I've had it in the back of my mind for a while to set up a Mr. Linky, but simply haven't done it. With your added motivation, keep your eyes open. :-)
