Walgreens: Online rebate submission

Thanks so much to the readers who passed this on to me. If you're like me, you feel like breathing a sigh of relief while simultaneously doing a happy dance. :-) And if you're wondering what all the happiness is about, here's what Sally had to say:

Newsflash: Now residents of all 50 states can submit their rebate receipts online! It’s SO easy! I can enter each receipt as I bring it home after purchasing eligible items and save my information. If I forget to submit the whole thing at the end of the month, they’ll do it for me!

For those who could use step-by-step instructions, here are the ones posted on SlickDeals:

Go to the link directly to the following: http://www.walgreens.com/store/rebateclub.jsp

Click on Claim Rebates

If you have an ID and PWD, try to login otherwise Register yourself by clicking on Register button.

Once registered, the system asks for the address.

When address is entered, you can start entering your receipts by selecting the month.

Happy Rebating!

I did a happy dance :) I HATE having to buy an entire book of stamps to send ONE thing out (I never go through the whole book before they raise stamp rates again!)...

...just submitted. WOO! Go intrawebz.

LOVE it! Rite Aid is still MUCH easier because you don't have to enter the items you want a rebate on, but I'll take this so I don't have to copy the stuff at the end of the month & worry about it getting there on time! YAY!

Thanks for the heads up! I just did mine online tonight!

Excellent! I just filled mine out last night thinking boy I wish I was in one of the states that could do this online... Now I am ! :)

Luckily I hadn't put the stamp on it yet :)

Thanks!

That's great! Amphritrite: buy the forever stamps; you can use them even if the rates go up. They come in books of 20!

Yeah, this is great! I live in Wisconsin so we were one of the trail states so I've been doing it since March--if you submit before the end of the month (of course, you want to make sure you won't want anything else before then), you may even get your money put on your giftcard before the end of that month! That happened to me in April.:-)

Thank you!! I was planning to get this ready to mail today. This is so much better, especially since I have a fairly small rebate this time, much more worth it without the stamp cost.

Great tip! I already had this month's stamped and addressed, but next month is gonna be online! Yay!

You actually don't have to select what you want the rebate for, if you select the wrong thing and you have a rebate eligble item on your receipt, the system know's that item is eligible and calculates your rebate. That's how I figured out I bought the wrong colgate toothbrush last month.

Thanks for the heads-up. I completed mine for April! The only thing I don't like about it is that you can't review what you're getting back (like Rite-Aid). I guess I'll have to wait the 10 days to find out if my total agrees with what I have on paper.

LOL! I find this funny because I just sent in my Monthly rebate thru snail mail yesterday!! And to think if I had read here first I probably could have saved myself some trouble.

Thanks for the info. I will be using it in the future. :)

Thanks!!!!

This is so awesome!! I tried it this morning and it was so easy! Much faster than filling out the paperwork, making copies, addressing the envelope, etc.!! I even entered one I already had for May that way I don't forget!! Thanks for sharing!!

I have a question- I've never done the rebates thing before, but I think I might start trying now that Walgreens has made it so easy. If I choose to have the rebates put on a giftcard so I can get an extra 10% back, does that mean that Walgreens will mail me a new gift card each month, with that month's rebates +10% on it? So I'd be getting 12 gift cards a year? Or does it work some other way?

Thanks so much for the info!

Candace,

You can request your gift card with the 10% bonus, then you will be given an option to refill the card each month. You will still get the bonus on a gift card refill.
